LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN!

August 19 2026

ONCE UPON A TIME . . . One of our Venerated Endurance Elders (who lives in an undisclosed and very isolated location and who has one of the lowest AERC numbers still in active use) (also known as Regina Rose of Bates Creek, Owyhee County, Idaho fame) asked me if I would like to go to ALASKA in August 2026 and help at the Very First Endurance Ride EVER in Alaska. Hmmm, let me think about it, HELL YES!!!

Flash forward to the present time (August 19, 2026) and it is now nearly time for the Great Alaskan Adventure to begin. Regina has lined up a seasoned crew from Idaho to help at the ride, with Regina acting as secretary/advisor and me (Pam Haynes) acting as timer. Nance and Bruce Worman will also be joining our little motley crew to work in whatever capacity might be needed (and Nance would not be adverse to a catch ride).

Follow along with us as we make our way north, from the blazing heat and endless smoke of southwest Idaho, to Fairbanks, Alaska, where the average daily temperature might hit mid 70s, with nighttime temps in the mid 50s, and where the sun shines brightly most of the day (and night).

Pictures will be posted irregularly here https://photos.app.goo.gl/4HMXh7np6ZXkdhV2A (or look for a link from endurance.net), along with reports of our Great Alaskan Adventure.

LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN!!!
